Quality Assurance Coordinator

ROLE OF THE POSITION
Under the supervision of the QHSE Director, the Quality Assurance Coordinator actively contributes to the implementation, development, and continuous improvement of the quality management system within AGB Guardian Tanks’ manufacturing operations.
The person in this role acts as a key player in structuring quality practices, notably through the development of internal specifications, process standardization, and improvement of production data traceability.
The Quality Assurance Coordinator works closely with the Quality Controller, production supervisors, engineering, and other departments to ensure product compliance and process robustness.
They also contribute to deploying quality management practices and tools across the organization to strengthen operational rigor and support a culture of continuous improvement.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Quality
- Participate in developing and implementing internal specifications to standardize quality requirements for products and processes
- Ensure follow-up on internal and external non-conformities
- Participate in root cause analyses (5 Why, Ishikawa, Pareto)
- Support implementation and follow-up of corrective and preventive actions
- Collaborate with production teams to improve process reliability and customer satisfaction
- Contribute to reducing rework (REA) and recurring defects
Inspection and Quality Control
- Support inspection and validation activities of tanks in collaboration with QC
- Verify the application of quality control standards and checklists
- Participate in internal process audits in accordance with ISO requirements
- Support investigations related to quality issues in production
Documentation, Specifications, and Traceability
- Participate in developing, updating, and deploying internal specifications and quality standards
- Maintain procedures, work instructions, and quality records up to date
- Ensure traceability of production data within the ERP system (Prextra)
- Support the management and calibration of measuring instruments
- Participate in preparing quality documentation required for audits
Deployment of the Quality System Across the Organization
- Deploy quality management practices and tools across departments
- Support teams in applying quality standards and best practices
- Raise awareness among teams regarding quality requirements and operational rigor
- Contribute to developing a shared quality culture across the organization
Quality System and Compliance
- Contribute to maintaining the QMS in accordance with ISO, UL, CWB, and other applicable standards
- Participate in the preparation and execution of internal and external audits
- Ensure follow-up of action plans resulting from audits
- Support continuous improvement of the quality management system
Collaboration and Continuous Improvement
- Work closely with Production, Maintenance, HR, and Engineering
- Participate in analyzing quality data and performance dashboards
- Propose and support continuous improvement initiatives
- Optimize processes to reduce waste and improve operational performance
PROFILE & REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
- Training in quality assurance, industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field
- Experience in a manufacturing environment (strong asset)
- Good knowledge of quality management systems (ISO or equivalent)
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and rigor
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Continuous improvement mindset
- Proficiency with computer tools
