ROLE OF THE PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR
Under the supervision of the Plant Manager, the Production Supervisor is responsible for organizing, monitoring, and optimizing production operations in order to achieve the plant’s objectives related to quality, safety, timelines, and productivity.
The supervisor demonstrates professionalism, maintains exemplary attendance, and exhibits behaviors aligned with organizational expectations. They embody and communicate the plant’s core values: respect, discipline, safety, quality, and teamwork.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Plan, organize, and oversee daily production operations
- Supervise, coach, and motivate work teams
- Ensure deadlines, quality standards, and production targets are met
- Enforce health and safety regulations (OHS)
- Efficiently manage resources (workforce, equipment, raw materials)
- Identify and resolve production issues quickly
- Monitor performance and implement continuous improvement initiatives
- Collaborate with departments (maintenance, quality, management)
- Communicate goals, results, and maintain a positive work environment
- Act as a positive, solution-oriented, and exemplary leader
PROFILE & REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
- Degree in production management, industrial engineering, or a related field
- Minimum of [2] years of experience as a supervisor or production lead in a similar manufacturing environment
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Good knowledge of quality and safety standards in industrial production
- Ability to proactively solve problems and make quick, effective decisions
- Proficiency with computer tools (ERP, MS Office)
- Bilingual (English and French)
- Knowledge of industrial tank manufacturing processes is an asset
- The candidate must reside in Canada and be legally authorized to work there.
