ROLE OVERVIEW

Under the supervision of the Production Director, the Production Coordinator plays a key role in the efficient management of production operations. The primary responsibility is to ensure optimal planning and facilitate coordination between various teams and departments.

To achieve this, the incumbent actively participates in the development and implementation of planning tools, working closely with supervisors. They are responsible for collecting and analyzing relevant production data to support operational decision-making and process optimization.

In addition, they prepare and regularly communicate operational dashboards (KPIs) to monitor plant performance. Key indicators include productivity, quality, safety, and adherence to production schedules. Through this rigorous monitoring, the Production Coordinator contributes to achieving organizational objectives and continuous improvement of operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

A. PRODUCTION COORDINATION AND PLANNING

  • Plan and update daily and weekly production schedules by department
  • Coordinate production activities with teams and supervisors to meet operational objectives
  • Lead and participate in meetings with production teams to ensure efficient planning and on-time delivery

B. PERFORMANCE MONITORING AND CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT

  • Develop, track, and communicate performance indicators (KPIs) related to productivity, quality, safety, and timelines
  • Prepare and share operational dashboards to monitor plant performance
  • Analyze production data to support decision-making and process optimization

C. MANUFACTURING METHODS AND LEAN MANUFACTURING

  • Monitor, document, and improve manufacturing methods using Lean Manufacturing principles
  • Document and promote best practices across production departments
  • Implement and support continuous improvement initiatives, including 5S practices

D. QUALITY ASSURANCE

  • Actively participate in the quality management program within production processes
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of practices ensuring compliance and operational quality

E. HEALTH AND SAFETY (H&S)

  • Collaborate with the H&S team to identify, update, and reduce risks associated with operations and daily plant activities
  • Participate in the H&S program and promote best practices
  • Implement improvements aimed at reducing workplace risks

F. HUMAN RESOURCES AND EMPLOYEE ENGAGEMENT

  • Collaborate with the HR team to monitor completed training and identify training needs within production teams
  • Implement a system to collect employee improvement ideas

PROFILE & REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

  • Data analysis and statistical knowledge

Experience

  • Education in Operations Management, Project Management, Engineering, or Engineering Technology
  • Training in Continuous Improvement, Lean Manufacturing, or Six Sigma
  • Experience in manufacturing, industrial plants, or construction
