JOB DESCRIPTION
AGB is looking for a dynamic, creative, organized, and motivated Drafting Technician to join its team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and modifying technical drawings for the various products manufactured by AGB. They will work closely with customers, the Sales Department, and the Production Team to transform needs and specifications into accurate drawings suitable for manufacturing.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys special projects, technical challenges, and variety, has excellent attention to detail, and takes pride in producing high-quality work.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Create technical drawings and computer-aided 3D models for the various products manufactured by AGB;
• Design, modify, and update drawings using SolidWorks;
• Prepare drawings required for the manufacturing and assembly of products;
• Interpret project requirements, dimensions, and technical specifications;
• Communicate with customers to fully understand their needs and contribute to the development of products tailored to their requirements;
• Collaborate with the Sales Department to gather and validate the specifications required for various projects;
• Work closely with the Production Department to ensure products are manufactured according to established drawings and specifications;
• Make necessary modifications to drawings when adjustments are required during a project or the manufacturing process;
• Verify the accuracy of dimensions, details, and technical information before drawings are released for production;
• Keep drawings and technical documentation up to date;
• Participate in resolving technical issues related to design or manufacturing;
• Perform any other related duties associated with technical drafting and product development.
REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS
• Diploma in Industrial Drafting Technology, Technical Drafting, or a related field;
• Good proficiency with SolidWorks;
• Ability to read, understand, and produce technical drawings;
• Excellent organizational skills and strong work ethic;
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy;
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities;
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines;
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with various departments;
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills;
• Creativity, initiative, and a desire to continuously develop skills;
• Bilingualism in French and English, both spoken and written, is considered an asset;
• Experience in a manufacturing environment is considered an asset.

• Compensation: Starting wage of $24.03 per hour. The starting wage will be evaluated based on the selected candidate’s experience, skills, qualifications, and level of training.
